Sales turns a Build a Phone Empire design into the cash that funds the next product. The official loop is direct: pick parts, set the price, give the device to your team, launch with a marketing campaign, read critic reviews, and watch sales arrive live. Rivals and new regions expand the challenge later. A reliable strategy improves this whole loop instead of chasing an unsupported “fastest money” number.

Protect one complete sales cycle

Before spending on research, office construction, staff, or cosmetics, reserve enough cash to design, develop, price, and launch another device. The exact amount depends on the current interface and company state, so calculate it from the displayed part total, development commitments, chosen campaign, and any other live cost.

That protected cycle is your recovery tool. If a launch performs poorly, you can make one controlled correction rather than waiting without a product. If a launch performs well, the same reserve prevents success from being immediately consumed by a large untested expansion.

Separate cash on hand from profit. A large balance can include money needed for the next device or current commitments. A launch is useful when its revenue and other results improve the company’s ability to repeat the cycle.

Set a price you can test

No official public formula publishes demand, ideal margin, or a universal price ceiling. Use the current displayed product cost, choose a recorded sale price, and observe the result. Keep the design, region, and marketing stable while testing a small change. This builds a demand curve inside the current update.

If a well-reviewed product sells weakly, price or marketing becomes a useful next test. If both review and sales are weak, revisit design or parts before repeatedly discounting. If sales are strong and the company can restock or continue production as the game presents it, a small price increase may reveal more room without destroying the baseline.

The Pricing Guide provides the full sequence and the fields to record.

Choose marketing from evidence

Marketing is part of the launch, not a substitute for a product. Read the live campaign name, cost, duration or effect if displayed, and confirm that the remaining cash still supports the next cycle. A costly campaign used on an untested design makes it hard to separate product quality from launch reach.

Start with a baseline campaign or the lowest-risk current option, then compare another campaign on a closely matched product. Capture the critic review and sales direction. If a campaign raises visibility but the product still receives weak feedback, the next spending priority is probably not a larger campaign.

Use the Marketing Guide to structure the launch and avoid claims about campaign tiers that the public sources do not support.

Use the actual labels and numbers your server shows. “Healthy” means the result supports the next planned cycle under your current costs; it is not a fixed community threshold.

Reinvest in the active bottleneck

After a profitable launch, identify what prevents the next improvement. If the product lacks a needed component, research may be the bottleneck. If development capacity is occupied, scheduling or a design slot is relevant. If a required employee cannot be placed, the office and desk state matter. If a strong device fails to reach buyers, price, marketing, rivals, or regions deserve attention.

Spend on the smallest change that addresses that bottleneck, then launch again. Avoid dividing one profit across several unrelated systems. A controlled investment is easier to evaluate and recover from.

Goals with cash rewards can support the cycle, but they should not be treated as guaranteed operating income until completed and claimed as the current interface requires. The Goals Guide helps align objectives with normal company work.

Expand into regions when the base market works

The developer confirms that players can beat rival companies and expand into new regions. The public description does not name every region, rival, unlock threshold, or sales modifier. Read those from the current map or market interface and record the in-game year, condition, cost, rival, and effect.

A new region is easier to evaluate when you bring a known product. Launch the established design in the new market before changing parts and price. This isolates the region effect. If you enter with a completely new device and campaign, the result cannot tell you which variable mattered.

Use the Regions Guide for a mobile-friendly market record.

Rivals and market response

Treat rivals as current game conditions, not as decoration. Record the rival name, region, visible requirement, and what changes after you beat or pass them. Do not invent rival AI behavior, bonuses, or a complete company list from a screenshot.

If a rival blocks expansion, keep the core business profitable while working toward the displayed condition. A company that destroys its cash reserve to cross one threshold may enter the new region unable to launch a product there.

The official 2x Money pass says it doubles money from every phone sold. When comparing results, disclose whether the pass is active. Do not compare one account’s doubled revenue with a free account and call the design superior. The public wording does not state that all goal rewards or every device family income source is doubled.

Hyper Speed changes simulation speed, and other passes can affect research, design capacity, or staffing. Record pass ownership when publishing time or cash results. Paid convenience can alter throughput without changing the underlying decision quality.

Common sales mistakes

  • Spending the next-product reserve on decoration after one good launch.
  • Calling revenue “profit” without accounting for the displayed product and campaign costs.
  • Changing design, price, marketing, staff, and region at the same time.
  • Treating one sales tick as sustained demand.
  • Copying a price ratio without matching year, product, region, and update.
  • Hiding 2x Money or other paid advantages in a result.
  • Expanding into a region before funding the first launch there.
  • Using a goal reward to justify a purchase before the goal is completed.

Sales record template

For each launch, save: date; server version context; in-game year; device family; design record; displayed cost; price; marketing campaign; critic feedback; live sales direction; region; rival state; relevant passes; cash before and after; and next decision. Leave formulas blank until repeated tests support them.
